Allied Health is a broad term used to describe a range of specialised healthcare and support services provided by health practitioners who are not part of the traditional medical, dental or nursing professions. The Allied Health workforce is broad and diverse. It includes health practitioners who work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams, in a variety of acute, outpatient, and community healthcare settings across the public, not-for-profit and private sector.

Allied Health Jobs

Art, Drama or Music Therapists work in a range of community, educational, disability and healthcare settings, including in the hospital, and in paediatric, social care, geriatric and palliative care settings. These therapies can influence a range of psychological, cognitive, health and well-being changes and benefits for individuals, families and communities. To pursue a career in one of these fields, Art, Drama or Music Therapists register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) after completing an approved postgraduate (Master’s) qualification.
