A-Z OF SERVICES

Physiotherapy is an Allied Health field and is concerned with assessing, diagnosing, preventing and treating/managing injuries and other health conditions which affect movement of the body. Physiotherapy uses a variety of techniques, exercises, and programs which help to improve and restore movement, function and strength and reduce further injury or ill-health. Physiotherapists work with a wide range of people, including sports people, children, the elderly, people with disabilities or people in rehabilitation after surgery. Other medical specialists, including GPs, may refer patients for physiotherapy sessions as part of their health management or recovery plan.

Physiotherapy Jobs

Physiotherapists work with people of all ages who have an injury or health condition that affects their movement and mobility. They make assessments and create treatment/management plans. They perform manual therapy, and provide exercises and stretching routines, along with other therapies, such as aqua therapy, to help improve strength, flexibility, function, and movement and prevent re-injury. Physiotherapists have completed a university degree in Physiotherapy, or a degree apprenticeship, and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
