Job summary

Bridgnorth Medical Practice has been established since the 1960s. In 2007 we moved from premises on the High Street into a newly built health centre nearby. We are now sited next to Bridgnorth Community Hospital in the centre of town with easy access to public parking and bus services.

Our premises are also occupied by other community-based services including Community Mental Health, Health Visitors and Community Nurses. There is a Pharmacy based in the building, which is managed commercially by a third party. This is one of three in the town for patients to use, two providing a medication delivery service.

We are a training practice and always receive positive comments from our trainees. Some have gone on to join the practice and become Partners.

We have a mix of nine full and part-time Partners (male and female) and two part-time salaried doctors, working closely with our Urgent Care Team, Nurses, HCAs and Phlebotomists, working across to rural sites with approximately 20,000 patients. The Partners also have a well-established non-clinical team, and we aim to be forward thinking and innovative in our ideas for patient services.

Our team are primarily local people, and many have worked with the Practice for a significant period of time or have a significant amount of experience working in general practice. Members of the team are loyal, hardworking, supportive, and keen to deliver a good service to our patients.
