Avisford Medical Group are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for up to 8 sessions at our friendly 2 site practice in West Sussex:
*GMS Practice with 11,500 patients
*SystmOne clinical system
*Training Practice (GP trainees and Students)
*High QOF achiever
*MDDUS membership included with employment
*Workflow initiative (so minimal paperwork)
*Clinical Pharmacist (so minimum prescription admin)
*Active member of local Primary Care Network
*Sessions/hours can be flexible for childcare etc.
*Close to South Downs National Park and West Sussex beaches
*Situated between Chichester and Worthing
Salary is dependent upon experience, negotiable. Standard contract is for 6 weeks paid holiday and
one week study leave per annum. Opportunities for professional development

Main duties of the job
Day to day duties will included working with pre-booked and on-the day
booked appointments (telephone based during COVID) 16 per session with a 20min
coffee break (totalling 3 hours per session). The remaining hour of the session
can be used for administration tasks/referrals etc.
Usually in our current pattern a GP is 'on call' every other week
working alongside our Paramedic Practitioner to cover urgent cases when all
other appointments are taken and home visits. A car will be required for this.
GP's will find a minimum of signing related tasks and letter handling
due to our Clinical Pharmacist and our Workflow team managing the majority of
this load.
GP's will be required to attend occasional clinical meetings such as
Significant Events which are usually held in between AM and PM clinics.
Additional roles/skills are not necessary but we would welcome any that
candidates bring and encourage them to apply them to the benefit of the
practice.

GP's working at Avisford Medical Group will enjoy our supportive and
welcoming atmosphere working alongside 6 other GP's and a multidisciplinary
team including: Nurse Practitioners, a Paramedic Practitioner and Clinical
Pharmacists. Our 2 surgeries are just 2 miles apart and equally sized.
We are able to accommodate flexible working in order to support other commitments.
Working alongside GP trainees and Nurse Practitioners and other allied
professionals will mean GP's are expected to provide guidance and supervision
when occasionally required. If interested, this role could be broadened to more
formal trainer status.
See previous but:
Seeing (usually) 16 patient's per session over a 3 hour time
period morning and afternoons in 10 minute appointments.
An additional hour of administrative work per session to total
the usual 4 hour session.
On call usually once fortnightly but more often if required to
cover absence. Undertaking home visits as required as part of this.
Supervising Allied Health Professionals as required.
Attending Clinical Meetings (if on days you work).
Keeping up to date with required appraisal and GMC registration.
Undertaking
mandatory training when required (i.e. Basic Life Support)
