The Trust is delighted to offer the
opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual
to join their Team. The post holder will work with
adults who have acquired neurological conditions in an outpatient setting.
Main duties of the job
To provide an effective highly specialist service to adult outpatients with a range of neurological conditions under care of the Neuro Rehabilitation Outpatient Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
To work collaboratively with the MDT in this service for quality of care, service development and evaluation
To independently manage, triage and prioritise own complex caseload providing a highly specialist SLT assessment, formulation, diagnosis, intervention and advice based on evidence based practice
To undertake, interpret, and act on complex information gathered from a range of sources, including instrumental investigations, diagnostic formal and informal assessments, and information from other agencies and professionals, using sound knowledge of evidence based practice, advanced clinical reasoning skills and experience in applying relevant treatment approaches.
To develop and provide highly specialist packages of care to individuals working as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of agencies and locations
To mentor, supervise, teach and develop SLT colleagues and other professionals within area of expertise
To effectively delegate to assistant SLT, administrative and other staff.
