Job summary
We are
looking to recruit for a job-share/part-time service lead for paediatric
therapies. The team includes occupational therapy, physiotherapy and specialist
play service. Paediatric therapies is countywide across Worcestershire and work
jointly with speech and language therapy, community paediatricians, the child
development centre team, the equipment services, orthotics and early years
services to offer community OT and physiotherapy intervention.
This is a
dynamic and innovative team with a highly child centred approach to their
intervention. They work in partnership with families and young people to offer
high quality care. The service is moving towards implementing the balanced
system and has reviewed its whole caseload to be able to prioritise care to the
right children at the right time. This is an exciting time of potential change
and development for the service and strong leadership will be needed to make
this process smooth.
You will
need to have HCPC registration as either a physio or OT.
The
successful candidate would need to be prepared to work at all of the bases
covered by the team as needed. The work base can be discussed at interview.
There is an option for some home working as appropriate.
The
successful candidate will have support within the team from team leaders and
clinical leads and from the clinical services manager and senior management
team in the service delivery unit.
There are a total of 22.5 hours
per week for this role.
Main duties of the job
You will provide leadership for the paediatric therapies team. You will be responsible for line managing the team leaders and clinical leads; offering clinical and managerial oversight to the therapy teams; leading the team through a period of change and transformation; maintaining best practice and quality for the children and young people accessing the service; supporting staff and working towards staff wellbeing; maintain policies and procedures for the teams within Trust standards. Act as an advocate for the service in multidisciplinary forum.

Job description
Job responsibilities
You will
ensure that all Trust initiatives are interpreted and applied to the service
and that the clinical quality of the offer is maintained through a robust
review and audit process. Engaging with transformation and change projects, you
will keep the needs of the client group central to all decision making. You
will contribute to senior management meetings as required and will lead service
