As a Non-medical prescriber you will maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the site that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues. You will work as a lead member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients. You will also be the go-to for providing expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.

As part of this role, you'll provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication and carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after. You'll provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history so this is a great opportunity to expand your clinical development in an environment that teaches you something new everyday.

Main duties of the job

You will be a Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPhC, HCPC, BsC) or equivalent. You'll also have an understanding and knowledge of policy developments including, Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework and to be able to use your knowledge of evidence based practice and national standards that inform practice (e.g. National Service Frameworks, NICEguidelines etc.).
