Job summary

Come and join our wonderful team as a salaried GP! We are a tier 2 visa approved GMS practice in North-East Essex where work-life balance is not just a buzzword. We are offering our salaried GP a very competitive salary which is enhanced if taking on a clinical lead role. We pride ourselves on supporting a family-friendly and flexible working pattern. Working days, although flexible, must include Monday.

The team comprises two friendly, supportive partners (also married to each other), 6 salaried GPs, an excellent nursing team (with specialist skills in asthma, COPD, diabetes, learning disabilities, palliative care and women's health), 3 clinical pharmacists, a pharmacy technician team, physiotherapist, mental health nurse and social prescriber. We are further supported by excellent admin staff including a dynamic GP assistant and care co-ordinator teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
  • Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

About us

Our surgery is a semi-rural practice of ~12,000 patients in the large village of Tiptree. We are in an ideal location close to Englands oldest town, Colchester, with great schools, nearby rail links direct to London, and easy access to the beautiful east coast.

We dont have any nursing home commitments. We have superb ANPs who manage the majority of our home visits.

Our GPs have active interests in minor surgery, mental health, palliative care and womens health. We happily support any desire to pursue personal and professional development. We have an immediate ambition to become a training practice. We embrace new ways of working whilst striving to maintain the family doctor traditions.
