Job summary

Main duties of the job

Working across all clinical areas in the hospice and supporting our community-based staff too, you will provide a high level of clinical expertise and be responsible for the development of professional and clinical standards

Job responsibilities

Salary:Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 6 (£35,392 - £42,618 per annum + enhancements)

Hours/Contract:Permanent 37.5 hours per week

Based:Liverpool Hospice

Helping our workforce deliver specialist palliative care to the very highest standards you will be responsible for developing, facilitating and evaluating all aspects of clinical training as well as creating innovative and flexible approaches to the learning culture

As our Clinical Educator, your primary role will be to inspire and educate colleagues across the full scope of these services. Our nursing team is made up of Senior Nurses, Clinical Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses and HCAs

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse or other relevant clinical
  • qualification
  • Clinical degree or equivalent relevant experience and willing to undertake.
  • Evidence of post registration study
  • Education and training qualification or willing to undertake.
  • Advanced Communication skills training orwilling to undertake.
  • Completed recognised mentorship course or willingness to undertake.

Desirable

  • Completed Resilience Based Supervisor course.
  • Leadership training.
  • Practice development module or relevant experience

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience post registration in a clinical environment.
  • Teaching and learning experience in healthcare.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Change management experience.
  • Experience of quality improvement methodologies including clinical audit, participating in audit and service evaluation.
  • Clinical Supervisor.

Desirable

  • Palliative/ supportive care experience post registration.
  • Project echo facilitator.
  • Coaching.
  • Experience of recruitment.
