We are currently looking for people with Health and/or Social Care experience to join us as Health Care Support Workers on our wards based at Loughborough Community Hospital.

Our wards are led by nurses and you will work under their guidance as part of a very supportive team. We are looking for people who can contribute to the care of our patients with kindness, compassion and empathy. You will be supported to complete the Care Certificate and we actively encourage on-going development. The post will provide cover on a rota basis over a 24 hour per day, 7 day a week service.

Our service provides nursing care, palliative care and rehabilitation for our patients. You are welcome to visit one of the wards during the application process to give you an insight to the role. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the name on this advert.

Free parking is available on site and the local bus transport network has a stop close by.

Main duties of the job

Undertaking clinical observations and providing clinical care as delegated.

Supporting our patients in maintaining their health, well-being and independence.

Providing personal care.

Accurately recording patient information.

Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Essential

  • Demonstrates an understanding of equality and valuing diversity principles.

Qualifications

  • Evidence of proven skills in Maths and English e.g. functional skills level 2, GCSE, OLevel, CSE or equivalent.

  • Demonstrates an ability to use IT for communication and care delivery.
