About us
Castle Gate Medical Practice (formerly Chippenham Surgery) has been providing medical care to local patients since approximately 1840. Since then we have grown to provide care for a list size currently standing at approximately 14,260 patients - and increasing. We have a branch surgery in Raglan (9 miles from Monmouth). We have 9 GPs working at our Practice in addition to a great team of other clinicians, receptionists, admin and support staff. We encourage our healthcare professionals to develop their own professional development plans, allowing individuals time to teach and study. We are a registered training Practice for Registrars and medical students.

Two site practice (Monmouth & Raglan)
Training practice
6 weeks annual leave plus 1-week study leave
EMIS practice with excellent admin team to reduce workload

The current medical team consists of 8 GP partners, a physician associate, 7 nurses, 5 HCAs, registrars, and medical students. This is complemented by an excellent team of receptionists, administrators, and secretaries.Our main site is in Monmouthand we have a branch site in Raglan, between them we have 14,100 patients. Current GP's have a range of special interests including family planning, minor surgery, and joint injections.
