West Leicestershire CMHT are offering an exciting developmental opportunity for a motivated Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to work towards a Band 6 post in the Community Planned Treatment Team based in Hinckley. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, positive, and willing to learn.

You will need to have completed your preceptorship to be eligible for this post.

The team is friendly, dynamic and constantly evolving to offer the best support and treatment to patients within our local community. Be part of an exciting and truly multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Work alongside a variety of Professionals within the Team and external agencies including GPs, Mental Health Facilitators, Mental Health Practitioners, Social Services and the Voluntary Sector, to obtain the best recovery possible for our patients.

Main duties of the job

At the beginning of the developmental pathway, you will be assigned a named supervisor who will work with you to discuss individual learning aims, objectives and training needs and guide you through the pathway.

At the end of the developmental pathway, you will have developed your self-knowledge, skill base, confidence and your ability to critically reflect on your work and learning. The pathway is expected to take 12 months to complete (for a full time post).

Working within the team you will hold a clinical caseload and will be supported by the multi-disciplinary team to develop your knowledge and understanding of the patient group, as well as developing your clinical skills.
