Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to join our team to carry out a varied and challenging role as a Cancer Pathway Tracker. Cancer Services provides support to selected MDT teams within the organisation, tracking and monitoring patient's cancer pathways to help deliver National Waiting Time Standards.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach, possess excellent communication skills, must be reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team or independently.
We are looking to recruit two vacancies:
1 x Full Time 37.5hrs per week
1 x Part time 22.5hrs per week. Must work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Cancer Services Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinators.
The Cancer Services MDT team is responsible for monitoring all patients referred on a suspected cancer pathway. Most referrals come from GPs made via the Electronic Referral System (ERS) but they may also come from other sources including Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings (MDTs), consultants, nurses or Accident and Emergency.
