Our Community hospitals are run by a team of matrons, registered nurses, rehabilitation assistants, health care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care managers, pharmacists, visiting medical officers and medical consultants.

Main duties of the job
We work closely with our patients and their families to offer a holistic approach to care. We offer a "home from home" environment to enable our patients to recover and get home sooner.
You'll communicate and maintain excellent working relationships with all those that use, commission and work within the services delivered.You will undertake direct clinical work for a minimum 60% of your time.You'll be responsible for ensuring that the team provides effective care planning which meets professional standards and is in collaboration with their services users and carers. You will get to facilitate reflection on the service delivery and identification of quality improvement work.As a senior member of the team you will manage the unit on a day to day basis, assisting the Clinical Lead and acting as a mentor to junior members of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Registered health care professional (NMC or HCPC registration. Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6 Evidence of Post Graduate Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice (examples -: Non-medical prescribing; Mentorship, Coaching, Minor Illness Management, Minor Injury Management, Consultation skills, Physical Examination skills, X-Ray interpretation / Red Dot / IR(ME)R) Management or supervisory qualification / programme of study
Desirable
- Experience in Primary Care environment PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education Working towards Master level study
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Evidence of NHS and Clinical experience in area of practice (UTC), including experience at band 5 and minimum of 2 years' experience at band 6 in Acute /Care Urgent Treatment Centre Evidence of a minimum of two years at band 6 in an NHS UTC environment. Experience of leading and managing teams.Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Evidence of supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor) experience
Desirable
- Experience with the use of Clinical software systems and Microsoft systems including IT packages such as E-Pay, E Roster.
