An exciting opportunity has come up to help shape and oversee a growing at-scale primary care provider working across Coventry & Warwickshire. Coventry&Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care (IPC) brings together GP Federations and at scale providers from across Coventry, Rugby, South Warwickshire and North Warwickshire, as part of a single organisation that works across the Coventry&Warwickshire health system to help support general practice.

To be a representative provider voice for general practice across Coventry & Warwickshire

To proactively encourage better integration and collaboration with system partners to develop economies of scale

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager with strong collaborative working relationships, to help drive the on-going development and oversight of IPC. You will work closely with the Board to support with all day to day operations, and with new business developments, engagement and communications and logistics.

Main duties of the job

  • Establish the corporate infrastructure to ensure CWIPC is fit for purpose and able to operate as an effective, efficient and successful organisation.
  • Oversee current business systems and processes, and where required, evaluate and improve these.
  • Input into the formulation and oversight of company policies and procedures and implement these.
  • Provide regular reports to the Board and commissioners as required.
  • Lead on all people management issues around recruitment and training.
  • Provide leadership and support for CWIPC staff.
  • Review of the annual business plan and supporting implementation plans.
  • Provide strategic financial management, including adoption and management of the annual budget.
  • Provide support and work collaboratively with the Directors.
  • Active engagement and relationship building with shareholders, stakeholders and key partners.
  • Ensure C&WIPC complies with Companies House and all other legal and statutory requirements.
  • Management of the companys service contracts and reporting to the commissioners.

About us

  • C&WIPC is a private limited company, whose Board comprises representatives from four local GP Federations / GP at scale providers from across Coventry & Warwickshire (Coventry & Rugby GP Alliance; South Warwickshire GP Federation; Primary Care Warwickshire; and Rugby Health). The organisation provides at scale support to general practice in Coventry and Warwickshire, including delivery of clinical services and nonclinical support.
  • The Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance is a private company limited by shares, wholly owned by local Coventry and Rugby GP practices. As a GP led organisation, we represent 50 GP practice shareholders and cover nearly 420,000 patients.

Job responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The General Manager is responsible for all daytoday operations of C&WIPC including planning, co ordinating and managing all business operations; new business developments; engagement; communications and logistics.

The General Manager will act as a direct liaison between the Directors and employees of C&WIPC and will communicate on behalf of the C&WIPC to employees, commissioners and other stakeholders.
