We are looking for dedicated and dynamic staff to join our experienced teams to support in the safe delivery of care and engage with the trust transformation and strategic vision. With our focus on quality, safety, transformation and service development, we are increasing our operating theatre suite and are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people, to join our expanding theatre department delivering a 24 hour service.You will join our extensive theatre team with multiple skills to enable you to gain further knowledge and advance your career.

Main duties of the job

Our services cover multiple specialities, Orthopaedics and Trauma, Head and Neck, Obstetrics, General, Gynae, Day surgery, Urology, Vascular, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Emergency and Recovery. We encourage duel or multi skilled practitioners, but you must be trained in anaesthetics practice and possess a current UK Registration.

There is a possible planned move for this service during 2025 when this role and base of work will be cross site working Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the post holder's home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Current HCPC or NMC Registration, as an Operating Departmental Practitioner or on NursesSub- Part 1, Registered Nurse (Adult

  • Recognised Mentor Qualification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge of medical and surgical conditions in relevant clinical areas underpinned by theory
  • Understands the theatre philosophy

Desirable

  • Comprehensive applied Anatomy and Physiology for relevant clinical area

Personal Attributes

Essential

  • Ability to work as part of a team and project a positive image
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of clinical team working and ability to work under own initiative
  • Experience of working in the theatre environment
