Clinical Support Worker - Higher Level
30 hours per week, in oncology outpatient department
Working in a organised busy environment each day. We work closely with the teams within our collaborative offering and receiving mutual support.

Main duties of the job
To support nursing staff in day to day running of clinics. Venepuncture , cannulation clinical observations, ECGs, Height and weight, urinalysis, catheter care, chaperone patients, wound care, patient referrals to other services. Meeting nutrition and hydration needs. Knowledge of computer systems.
Supporting patients during difficult consultations demonstrating empathy and understanding.n

- Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties and/or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3; - Theoretical knowledge - Experience of a range of care and related procedures - clinical observations - knowledge of relevant legislation
