Job summary

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic and compassionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the adult community Eating Disorder Service which is based in Salford, Greater Manchester. You will take responsibility for providing assessments and evidence based psychological interventions to clients from the Oldham, Tameside and Bury localities with a range of eating disorders. The service prides itself on delivering high quality, evidence based psychological and dietetic interventions. This post is part of current exciting developments in the community Eating Disorder Service. The service was the first in Greater Manchester to launch a FREED pathway and we have successfully recruited a Consultant Psychiatrist to enable a more comprehensive service to be provided.

Main duties of the job

You will take responsibility for providing assessments and psychological interventions to clients in the Oldham, Tameside and Bury area with a range of eating disorders. At present, team members are continuing to hybrid work and in person clinics are currently provided from our base at Salford. You will also provide clinical supervision to more junior members of the team depending on experience.
