Introduction to the role:An excellent opportunity has arisen to come and be part of our dynamic Speech and Language therapy team at Berkshire Healthcare Trust (with hybrid working available).

Main duties of the job

This role expects you to be able to be responsible for utilising your clinical skills to provide high quality assessments and diagnoses of patients to devise comprehensive treatment plans covering a mixed caseload.

You must be able to act autonomously as well as operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, whilst also providing guidance, training and support to junior staff, and the support system around patients.

All this must be accomplished at the same time as maintaining the objectives of the service and working within the parameters of the services operational model.

Job responsibilities

In this role you will be working as a Speech and Language Therapist both remotely and face-to-face across bases in Berkshire and surrounding areas. You will be expected to work as a part of a team and independently to deliver care to patients in care homes and patients homes to make assessments of dysphagia.

  • Post qualification experience
  • NHS experience
  • Enhanced DBS

Qualifications

Essential

  • Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration)
  • Relevant degree or post qualification
  • Must be dysphasia trained
  • Adult health trained
