Job summary
This consultant post is to support the ENT team with both surgical and clinical work following the surge of clinical activity and to support the reduction of the backlog following the Covid-19 pandemic. Work will be based at both the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals. The team requires support from an enthusiastic ENT surgeon who can manage all aspects of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery.
Specific surgical skills relating to ENT General and Paediatric ENT Surgery are required to assist with the surgical caseload. Medical education qualifications and experience are also highly desirable for this role.
Main duties of the job
The appointed applicant will have an integral role in assisting in waiting list backlogs, with routine new referrals, follow up appointments and general ENT operating lists. Successful applicants would be expected to take part in the on-call rota for the department based on a 1:9 weekday frequency and 1:14 weekend frequency as this is shared with Mid Cheshire NHS Trust.

- Register or eligibility for entry via CCT within 6 months of date of Interview or CESR
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practise

- Other higher degree (PhD, Masters, BSc)
Clinical Experience & Training

- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in ENT

- Postgraduate qualifications in medical education
- Experience of undergraduate teaching and supervision
- Experience of clinical supervision and mentorship
Academic Achievements, Research, Publications
