Job responsibilities
To provide holistic nursing care and support to children and young
people with life limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families
To participate in ongoing multi professional assessment and delivery of
care to meet identified needs in collaboration with other agencies and services
involved in the care of the child and family
To use skills, knowledge and expertise in a
variety of situations and range of settings to ensure the provision of
specialist palliative care
To work using own initiative as well as accessing
and contributing to the skill base of the wider team.
To be actively involved in the support, education,
training and development of the wider team
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- NMC Registered Childrens Nurse
- Demonstrate a range of clinical skills
- A shared passion to work with a multidisciplinary team in providing the best care possible
- Ability to build meaningful relationships making patients and colleagues feel heard, valued, and supported
Desirable
- Experience in a similar post or willingness to learn new skills within Palliative care
- Keen interest in exploring what Palliative & End of Life Care involves
