We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team in Mirfield, supporting adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. Main duties of the job
The Role
- To deliver a high-quality nursing service to meet the needs of individual people with profound and complex disabilities.
- To be responsible for the assessment of their nursing needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- To provide day to day management and operational control of the service alongside and during the absence of the newly appointed Registered Manager.
- To provide holistic support to our adults following the Trusts principles and behaviours.
- To provide the highest quality of nursing care, support, and community experience to assist our adults who have a range of complex disabilities to maintain a degree of independence and improved quality of life.
- To work alongside our strong team, to enhance, develop and strength an already exciting service, and to give experiences to our clients that may extend their life skills.
- To support and enhance our electronic documentation
- To foster and build positive relationships with other professionals
- To be dynamic and individual to yourself and be part of a team that likes to fill our clients lives with fun, enthusiasm, and laughter.
You will need a good, strong work ethic, along with some experience of working with adults and young people with PMLD and complex needs. If successful, you will have a good in-depth induction, with access to our extensive in-house training.
About us
Willow Court is our dedicated nursing home, located on the main site in Mirfield. With nineteen en-suite bedrooms in total, Willow Court is our largest home able to support a wide range of specialist health needs. Split into three bungalows, there are three communal lounges, as well as an interactive music room, a media room and a beauty room for a bit of pampering.

Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Mirfield, WF14 0DQ
Salary: £21.00/hr (for newly qualified Nurses, £19.00/hr is payable for the first year post qualificaton)
Hours: Full or part-time available, including alternate weekends off and some night cover where required

Qualifications
Essential
- Evidence of professional qualification.
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN number and additional relevant experience gained by attendance on courses.
Experience

- Experience of working in a person centred way
- Experience of planning, implementation and evaluating programmes of care
- Multi disciplinary team working
- Experience of the administration of medication
Desirable
- Experience of the administration of gastrostomy medication
- Experience of oral and deep suctioning
- Experience of working in a care home setting
- Experience of working with young physically and cognitively disabled adults
