Based from The Horder Centre, Crowborough, this is a full-time, fixed-term (9-12 months) contract, offering fantastic opportunities to learn, develop and grow your clinical skills and knowledge within a supportive and caring setting.

Main duties of the job

Rated as a CQC Outstanding hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced Physician Associate on a fixed-term basis, to join our wonderful clinical inpatients ward.

Working and closely supporting the Resident Medical Doctor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation for patients including crisis intervention, medication review and staff consultation.

The role will support other services as needed for patient flow, as well as contributing to decision making for patients to be admitted, transferred or discharged.

This role will also involve supporting and communicating with wider departments, such as our clinical services director, orthopaedic consultants, ward nursing staff and clinical administrative support staff.

About you:

  • You will be a passionate and empathetic experienced professional, with excellent communications skills to help build those all-important and respected relationships with our patients and your colleagues.
  • BA/BS Degree prior to undertaking PA programme.
  • PG Dip in Physician Assistant Studies from a recognised UK training programme.
  • Current and valid certification or re-certification by the Physician Assistant National Examination Board.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedicated to providing compassionate and patient-centred care.
