Job summary

NELFT is looking for 8 highly motivated qualified nurses interested in undertaking the Community Nursing Specialist Practitioner qualification (DNSPQ) in September 2024. This post will be dependent on the approval of funds and will be a fully salaried training place. You will be given a fixed term contract with NELFT to undertake a one-year full-time course.

The course is taken jointly with London South Bank University.

Interviews will be held on: 01-07-2024 and 02-07-2024.

Applicants need to be registered on part 1 of the NMC register and normally have at least one-year relevant experience post qualifying.

Applicants must be able to study at level 7, a 2:2 degree or above or evidence of passing a module at Level 7 acceptable.

The post of Specialist Community Practitioner Sponsorship Student is a development post building on existing knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve a higher level of practice resulting in an academic qualification as well as a recordable/recognised qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
