Job summary

Due to the retirement of one of our partners, we're on the lookout for a dedicated GP partner to join our team for 6-8 sessions. We're a vibrant partnership of young professionals with a proud tradition of innovation and exceptional achievements in quality outcomes, investment, improvement, and enhancing clinical care.

Nestled in the heart of the historic city of St Albans, Harvey Group Practice is a well-established and welcoming training center. With a patient base of 14,500, we're an integral part of HaLo PCN, working closely with neighboring practices to elevate community healthcare standards. At Harvey Group, education is paramount; we regularly train a variety of healthcare professionals, from GPs to nursing associates, and actively engage in research under the guidance of one of our partners.

Main duties of the job

As part of our exsisting GP partnersnip we would be looking for experience in:

  1. Clinical Excellence: Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and promoting preventive health measures.

  2. Leadership and Management: Collaborate with fellow partners and practice management to develop strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. Lead by example in fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  3. Patient-Centered Care: Build strong relationships with patients based on trust, empathy, and respect. Take a holistic approach to patient care, considering not only physical health but also mental, emotional, and social well-being.

  4. Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in primary care, medical technology, and healthcare regulations. Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

  5. Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community to understand their healthcare needs and preferences. Participate in health promotion activities, community events, and initiatives aimed at improving public health outcomes.

As a GP Partner, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of our practice while delivering exceptional care to our patients. You will work closely with fellow partners, management, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, managing long-term health issues, and promoting preventive healthcare measures.

  2. Leadership and Management: Collaborate with fellow partners and practice management to develop and implement strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures aimed at enhancing the quality of care, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals within the practice, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of GP specialty training and registration with the appropriate medical council.
  • Proven experience as a General Practitioner, with a strong track record of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Essential

  • A degree in medicine that is recognised by the General Medical Council.
  • MRCGP
