An exciting opportunity has arisen in HMP Birmingham Healthcare for the post of Primary Care Senior Administrator to support our clinical managers
Main duties of the job
The post holder will hold NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification; Knowledge of detailed secretarial procedures and software programmes such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook and ideally a knowledge of Systm1 clinical system.
Previous experience of working within a secure prison setting would be desirable.

Job responsibilities
To manage the arrangement of meetings, typing agendas and minutes and distributing in atimely manner with limited guidance. To support Primary Care Manager in drafting adverts, dealing with all correspondence To support the Admin Manager / PA to Head of Healthcare with the completion of newstarter forms Developing, maintaining and monitoring the team filing system. Develop and maintain personal files for the team on behalf of the Primary Care Manager.

Essential
- Significant experience of providing secretarial support at senior management level Significant experience of taking minutes as a senior level
Desirable
- Experience of liaising with senior management and clinical staff from a range of disciplines and agencies Understanding of mental health issues
Qualifications / training
Essential
- GSCE English or above and ability to demonstrate excellent use of the English language/grammar
- NVQ Level II in Business Admin or equivalent
- Evidence of IT skills
Desirable
- Typing/Word Processing to level RSA II or equivalent
Skills/knowledge
Essential
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft office, power-point, outlook and excel
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Information Governance
