Job Title: Care Support Worker - Mental health

Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
- Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
- Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
- Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
- Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

Location: - Devon Partnership NHS Trust
Trust also covers areas in Exeter, Torquay,
Ivybridge, Barnstaple. Main hospitals are exeter and Torquay.
Pay Rate: £14 - £20
Hours: - Flexible

- A minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Care Assistant (Qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience)
Qualifications
Essential
- All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes:
- Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements.
- Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation
- QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011
- QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011
- QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only)
- Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.
