An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard working and committed person with proven leadership and management experience to join our team of Service Managers in Theatres & Anaesthetics. This role offers an opportunity to be responsible for the review of current services and operational management processes of Theatres at our UCH, EGA, MCC & UCH at Grafton Way Sites.

As a highly motivated manager with proven managerial experience, within the NHS setting, you will need to display strong leadership qualities and have a proven track record of delivering high performance across the areas you have managed.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential

  • Management Degree or able to demonstrate significant level of equivalent experience
  • A formal post graduate qualification, ideally in management or equivalent senior level experience
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of NHS Theatre transformation work

Desirable

  • Management experience in NHS Theatres Department

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in effective management of budget and effective leadership of staff
  • A proven record of success in managing change while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality
  • Proven experience in service improvement & development

Desirable

  • Significant experience at Operational level in a Theatres & Anaesthetics complex organisational environment
  • Proven experience in business planning and in the development and effective implementation of complex strategic & operational plans
  • Previous clinical experience within a theatre setting at a senior level - Band 7 or above
