We have an exciting opportunity for a Non medical prescriberto join our Primary Careteam at HMP Leicester, a Category B local prison holding men who are on remand as well as sentenced. It has an operational capacity of around 400. The prison is located in the City Centre and is a 15-minute walk from the station.

Shifts for this role are Mon-Fri - 16:30-20:30 Sat - 14:00-18:00
Salary
Your will receive an hourly salary of 38.21

Main duties of the job
As anon medical prescriber,your responsibilities will vary. You will
-
Maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the site that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues.

Work as a lead member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients.

Be the go-to for providing expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.

Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication and carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.

Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history so this is a great opportunity to expand your clinical development in an environment that teaches you something new everyday.

Qualifications required
- Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC) BSc or equivalent qualification
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including , Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
- Understanding of evidence based practice
- Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (eg National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc)
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Experience of working within a primary care setting
