The post holder is an
experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide
care for the presenting patient from initial history
taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical
decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills,
for patients within the general practice. The post holder
will demonstrate critical
thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the general
practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse
leadership as required. In order to work at this level NMC requirements for
advanced practice must be met.
They should have experience in management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries and chronic disease management. They should be able to participate in patient telephone triage to manage patient demand and advise patients in the safest and most appropriate way relevant to their problems. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. Will undertake home visits.

You will join a clinical team consisting of 2 Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 5 Practice Nurses, 4 HCAs, 1 Paramedic and 1 Clinical Pharmacist.
Sidley Medical Practice has been the host site for the COVID vaccination program, working closely with the Bexhill Primary Care Network and other local GP surgeries.

Assess, diagnose,
