Job summary
The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to
join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service Mental Health Team.
The successful applicant will join a highly enthusiastic and
professional team, who work across the 6 localities of Berkshire. The vacancy
that has arisen is a replacement post, and the Trust regards this as an
opportune moment to develop the functioning of the team. The successful
candidate will help with the continued development of the service in Berkshire
and support the Trust EiP developments in line with the Thames Valley
network. This is also an exciting time
for the Trust as we are working towards a transformation project implementing
the One Team approach and ensuring that clients are placed on the appropriate
care pathway. The consultant
psychiatrist will have a key role in identifying how the EIP service sits and
works within the psychosis pathway. This
will also involve in ensuring the team are focusing directly on the evidence
based interventions for psychosis and targeting these at the appropriate client
group.

About us
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
(BHFT) was formed in April 2001 and successfully became licensed as a
Foundation Trust in May 2007. In April 2011 the community services
which were previously the provider arms of NHS Berkshire East and NHS Berkshire
West PCTs merged with the Trust.

least deprived communities in the country, but also has pockets of markedly
deprived wards. The Trust is part of two Integrated
Care Systems (Frimley ICS and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire West
ICS) and partners with six local unitary authorities.
The trust has an outstanding CQC
rating.
BHFT employs over 4000
