Job summary

To provide the day-to-day co-ordination and delivery of the CYPS Community Team (CCT) in collaboration with other Managers working in partnership with the clinical leads and across the alliance for the continued development of the service working in line with the philosophy of CYPS and in keeping with the most up to date guidelines.

To ensure the service operates in a safe, effective & efficient way as part of the whole system of emotional health and well-being services within the ITHRIVE framework. In addition, to foster a culture that encourages and enables individuals to have an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs.

To ensure that the experience of the CYP using the service is at the centre of any decision making whilst building outstanding supportive and responsive relationship with colleagues within the alliance and externally across the Surrey system and leading on clinically challenging and complex cases as appropriate.

All post holders working will be expected to uphold the Trust's vision and values.

Main duties of the job

To provide operational leadership and management to the CCT within the getting more help element of the ITHRIVE framework.

As a member of the CYPS Management team, to develop, review and maintain effective systems which ensure the service is delivered according to national, CQC, local and Trust standards, policies, guidelines and local service plans in accordance with the alliances vision.

To contribute to strategic planning for the service to achieve and maintain a comprehensive CCT.

To contribute to the transformation of the CCT service and the ITHRIVE system framework alongside the new contract, ensuring that where needed new funding is used to operationalise the joint alliance vision.

To ensure that systems are in place in order that comprehensive assessment and treatment pathway planning takes place within getting more help.

To work across organisational boundaries at the appropriate level to ensure that children's emotional health and well- being within Surrey is provided within a coordinated, systemic inter-agency context.

To ensure that inter-agency protocols work effectively and are integrated with identified care pathways for children using children's emotional health and well being services.

To represent Children and Young People within the alliance and at other system multi-agency forums, steering groups and whole borough working groups, as required

Essential

  • oProfessional qualification at Diploma/Degree level i.e. RMN, or equivalent in social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, clinical psychology, or other such clinical professions and hold a professional membership (eg NMC, HCPC.)
  • oHave a minimum of 3 years relevant management/leadership experience in a children's and adolescent mental health service
  • oHave a minimum of 5 years' experience working with children and adolescents with mental health needs
