Lakeside View is a 30 bedded hospital in Willenhall that cares for patients who are 18 years and over in an acute setting:

• Finch Ward - 13 bedded male acute ward
• Robin Ward - 8 bedded male acute ward
• Swan Ward - 9 bedded female acute ward

The aim at Lakeside View is to provide a person centred approach and therapeutic environment, which promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals. Right from the point of admission to our acute services, our aim is to support patients to be discharged safely back into the community where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.

This will be achieved by:

• Thorough assessment of individuals needs throughout admission
• Person centred collaborative treatment plans
• A range of interventions available from a diverse MDT
• Being cared for in the least restrictive environment
• Effective liaison and joint working with Locality team.

We are seeking a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to cover 17 beds in our Acute service.The role will be working with male and female patients. You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission, including contribution to the pre-admission assessments of adults of working age.

You will be part of a well-established and cohesive team of medics which includes; Medical Director, Consultant Psychiatrist, Speciality Doctors, Registered Medical Officer and Aston University Medical Students. Lakeside View also has strong links with other surrounding Priory Hospitals within the region, providing the opportunity to network with other Consultants from different specialisms and service lines.

• You must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry
• Have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
• You will have experience at Consultant level within the NHS, including the ability to conduct training.
• You will continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for Psychiatry.
