William Morris School, part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with neurodevelopmental difficulties. The school is one of the few educational establishments in the country to adopt a truly trauma-informed and trauma-responsive approach to care, therapy and education.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Welfare Manager to work in our small 39-week boarding provision, due to open in September 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role in the opening and development of a new provision. You will support the Head of Boarding in creating a positive environment that enables pupils to meet their outcomes, and work closely with staff from our therapeutic, Youth Support, Care and Education teams.

Main duties of the job

Key areas:

o Be responsible for ensuring that the boarding provision is run in line with the vision for boarding at William Morris School, Novalis Trust

o Support the Head of Boarding to ensure the implementation and maintenance of National Minimum Standards within the boarding provision practices and processes.

o Support the Head of Boarding to support the development of boarding at William Morris School, Novalis Trust

o Act as an appropriate role model for all the boarders
