Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Our hospital provides a 15 bed emergency department seeing 18,000 patients per year which is supported by 24/7 laboratory and radiology services, including CT. The emergency department is staffed by an eclectic team of doctors – rural specialists, emergency medical officers and emergency specialists. We assess all patients presenting acutely to the hospital and treat, transfer, or admit as required. Our medical roster provides SMO cover 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, you will enjoy working as part of a team in this busy department. Currently 10 hour duties are being worked in the department.

Applications are invited from Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or Fellows of the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine, or overseas equivalent. Medical officers with appropriate experience in emergency medicine will also be considered.
