Job summary

Were looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Doctor to work in a fast-paced, patient-first service to join us as part of our friendly team which includes pharmacists, a social prescribing link worker, as well as our excellent GP's, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and admin team.

As a GP, you will support the single GP partner and salaried GP to manage a busy, interesting clinical caseload ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

To provide general practice consultations to patients and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying or reducing the risk of disease or injury.

To uphold the principles of good medical practice as stated in the GMC statement of professional values and responsibilities:

  • Make the care of your patient your first concern.
  • Provide a good standard of practice and care.
  • Keep your professional knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Recognise and work within the limits of your competence.

About us

We are friendly, forward looking Practice with 5 Partners, Salaried GP's, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, HCA, supported by our Care Navigators / Signpost and Administrative Team. We are a Practice that performs well in QOF and other national and local Agreed Services.

The Practice is currently looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working GP to join our team. You will work with the practice team to meet the needs of patients, nurses and GPs following policies.

Job responsibilities

The role itself involves being a (Doctor) Salaried GP at our practice. You will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner and be responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering excellent clinical care.

In particular, you must adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contribute to effective management and processes within the practice, show leadership skills as well as maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. You will be involved in routine clinics and taking part in the duty doctor rota.

If you have particular special interests, we can look into how we can accommodate your skills.

We have a skilled team of clinicians including doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, GPA's and health care assistants. We have a skilled administrative team who support clinicians by arranging referrals, organising workflow of tasks and phone calls, which allows time to focus on patient care.

We have a culture of learning and personal development. There are regular clinical meetings which allow us to discuss matters (clinical or non-clinical) in an open and supportive environment. Apart from this, we pride ourselves on having an open door policy- any issues can be discussed at the time you need to with any member of staff.
