Job summary
We are seeking an autonomous, innovative, practitioner, who would like to work within one of our integrated Community Mental Health Teams in Bradford. In particular we are looking to appoint a practitioner with specific training and practice based expertise in working from a CBT based model. The key aspect is working within the clinical team providing Schema therapy to our service users. There is an expectation to train in Schema therapy.
As a service we are providing opportunities to develop skills in clinical practice. There are opportunities to develop skills in consultations with care coordinators, to embark on training in Schema Therapy. We would support training in clinical supervision and are in the process of transformation where we will support the staff team, this will involve providing staff training and education.
The service provides a broad range of therapy modalities including DBT Therapy, Schema Therapy, Art Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Practitioners are encouraged different perspectives from different modalities to help improve clinical knowledge and skills. We would agree a development planto support transition to senior roles in the future.

Main duties of the job
The team comprises of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Psychologists, Social workers, Occupational Therapists, support and peer workers delivering a recovery focused service based upon our Care Closer To Home initiative. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic approach to working as part of the MDT.
To provide psychological assessents and therapy, training, consultation and formulation.

This will be an opportunity for existing CBT Therapists to broaden their knowledge, working with people experiencing complex mental health problems. This will involve developing skills working with people with psychosis / personality difficulties and bipolar disorder, supported by experienced clinicians in those areas. Close supervision by a BABCP accredited therapist is available to enhance clinical skills and support application for accreditation with the BABCP.
