We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates and Facilities Manager to join our organisation to support us through our next phase of growth. This is a crucial role where you will be responsible for the selection of high-quality accommodation which is fit for purpose and good value for money.

Main duties of the job

As our Estates and Facilities Manager, you will provide a professional service across the organisation with an emphasis on providing value for money and high quality accommodation which is fit for purpose. Working in conjunction with the Director of Finance, you will have input into the selection of premises, lease and related legal negotiations, property maintenance, provision of utilities and other property related matters, with the ultimate aim of helping the organisation achieve its mission and strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: Source and identify prospective new premises for the organisation where required. Negotiate contracts and agreements with landlords and Agents, specifically Heads of Terms. Work with MHM solicitors to secure leases that are fit for purpose within a managed budget. To create an initial conditions schedule for new premises, highlighting any associated risks. Developing and implementing strategies for the maintenance, development, and utilisation of MHM estate's assets. Identify, negotiate, manage and review contract renewals for leases, licences and other property related contracts as required, working in conjunction with other senior colleagues across the organisation. About you You will have previous experience of Estates and Facilities Management in a multi-site organisation, including commercial leases. You will have project management experience and will be proficient in budget management as well as contract negotiation. With strong research and communication skills, you will be comfortable writing reports and presenting them to senior management. You will have experience of risk management and implementing risk mitigation actions. It is essential that you hold a Level 5 qualification in Estates and/or Facilities Management. A Level 5 in CIPS would be desirable but not essential. Due to the nature of this role, a full driving licence is required, and you must be willing to travel from time to time as required throughout the UK to MHM services.
