Main duties of the job
Provide care in the clinical area as an effective member of the clinical team.
Establish a safe working environment for patient and staff and ensure that patient contact and dignity are compromised as little as possible.
Arrange the admission, transfer and nurses led discharge of patients, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care within speciality.
Demonstrate knowledge of Endoscopy equipment.
Maintain appropriate department documentation policies, care plans and electronic record.
Undertake daily checks within Endoscopy and report any faults.
Co-ordinate the safe transfer of patients.
Working within a team.

Essential
- Registered Nurse 1st Level
- Basic life support
- Able to work within the procedure rooms for all procedures including wearing radiology leads for ERCP and procedures requiring radiology support.
- flexibility, able to work the hours of the service, across all sites
- Proven ability to work unsupervised.
- people skills, able to be an effective member of a team, a good team leader.
- Audit skills
- Good IT skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Able to prioritise and plan workload
- To rotate across all 3 sites.
Desirable
- Previous Endoscopy Experience
- Post registration Endoscopy related Qualification
