Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 psychotherapist to join our dynamic secondary care psychotherapy team of senior experienced psychotherapists, group analyst, consultant medical psychiatrist and trainees in psychiatry and psychology under supervision.
Our friendly and welcoming psychotherapy service is based at Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford and the team has its own clinical space to conduct our therapeutic work.
We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience working with severe, enduring, and complex mental health presentations and/or those with a core professional training. The role primarily involves working with individuals with severe mental health issues using psychodynamic psychotherapy. Experience in MBT, working in groups and offering assessment is desirable but opportunities to develop these skills will be available as part of career development.

Essential
- In depth understanding and training in the delivery of individual psychoanalytic therapy is mandatory.
- In depth knowledge and experience of conducting psychotherapy consultations for individual therapy.
Qualifications

- UKCP accreditation with the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College or BPC accreditation in psychoanalytic psychotherapy or other substantive recognised psychoanalytic psychotherapy training can be considered.
