Job summary
Nottinghamshire Hospice lead the provision of compassionate,
community palliative care to those who are dying in Nottingham and
Nottinghamshire from a terminal or life limiting illness. Our values are embedded throughout the organization -Compassion, Trust

We are now
looking for an exceptional, experienced senior clinical leader to join our team
in a Director of Care job-share role as our current Director of Care is looking
to reduce their hours. We have a strong senior leadership team who work
extremely well together with high levels of trust, compassion and ambition.
This is wide and varied strategic role which will shape the delivery of our
services into the future, as well as driving quality of care and compliance
within our current services. You will be required to work 18.75 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday predominantly between the hours of 8.00am 5.30pm with
some evening meetings and participation in the on-call rota.

Main duties of the job
The job share and partner will be responsible for the
following, between them.
The post holder is a key member of the Senior Leadership
Team and will be responsible for development and delivery of the Care Strategy
for Nottinghamshire Hospice. This includes the leadership, operational
management and development of clinical services and clinical governance to
ensure high quality care and evidence-based clinical practice. In collaboration with other members of the
management team the post holder will contribute to the wider strategic
development of the Hospice and work to ensure objectives are achieved.
On behalf of the Hospice, they will also hold the public

Manager for the Hospice with the Care Quality Commission
Accountable
Officer for Controlled Drugs
Safeguarding
Officer
Caldicott
Guardian
The post holder will also; ensure that the hospice services
are compliant with regulatory bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission, lead
the governance agenda for the Hospice across all service areas, ensuring
compliance with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Quality Schedule
requirements and ensure compliance with contractual requirements for services
provided for Clinical Commissioning Groups and other commissioners.
