Salaried GP Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a salaried GP to join our very friendly and progressive practice. We are a supportive and approachable team of 7 GP partners along with 3 existing salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs. We are supported by an excellent Docman/workflow team, dedicated reception, and prescribing team, and are led by a dynamic management team.

North Cardiff Medical Centre is a large practice (list size 15,000+) and we are proud of our good local reputation. We are a training practice as well as teaching medical students. The practice ethos is one of co-operative working and mutual support, aiming to deliver excellent patient care whilst recognising the importance of maintaining a good work/life balance. We offer a good income with generous annual holiday allowance and study leave entitlement.

Main duties of the job

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide clinical services as designated by the Partnership

  • To contribute to the clinical governance agenda of the practice

  • To work with the Partnership to develop clinical services.

  • To participate in Continuing Professional Development and the National Appraisal Programme.

Essential

  • Qualifications:
  • JCPTGP certification
  • Eligible to be a Principal in General Practice
  • Vocationally Trained

Desirable

  • Holder of MRCGP
  • Other specialist interests

Experience

Essential

  • Full vocational training in general practice
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical computer systems

Desirable

  • Relevant training and accreditation for provision of:
  • Family planning service
  • Child Health Surveillance
  • Minor surgery
