This an exciting opportunity for a GP/ Specialist Doctor to join the expanding Hospital at Home team the the RUH.

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist Doctor, you will provide senior clinical oversight to the Hospital at Home Multi Disciplinary Team.

Person Specification

Clinical knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Geriatric Medicine Ability to offer expert clinical opinion in the field of Geriatric medicine Experience of Rehabilitation in a variety of settings Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients Demonstrable experience in discharge planning and frailty

Desirable

  • Experience of working with community teams Experience working in acute setting in ED/ Frailty Assessment Unit Demonstrates ability to innovate and change current practices to improve the patient experience

Management and Administrative experience

Essential

  • Ability to advise on efficient and smooth running of a Geriatric Medicine service Ability to manage and lead medical team Clear application of audit in clinical practice
