Job summary
Southend Medical Centre has an exciting new opportunity, we are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced practice nurse on a full or part time basis for 34 - 37.5 hours per week, days and hours to be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
- Supporting the organisation and facilitating clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice.
- Maintaining a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols and policies, as well as providing nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
- Working within your own level of competency and expanding your role in accordance with practice requirements and your own scope of practice.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a primary healthcare setting
- Competent in cervical screening, childhood immunisations, vaccines, staple and suture removal, basic wound care
- Experience in SystmOne
Qualifications
Essential
- Foundation degree as a registered nurse.
- NMC registration.
Desirable
- Diabetes, asthma, COPD, stop smoking, contraception and complex wound care qualifications.
