Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, patient centred GP Practice.
The successful applicant will be confident, friendly, team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
In addition to general treatment room procedures, you will also be our Infection Control lead undertaking regular audits etc.
Main duties of the job
We need a Practice Nurse with previous experience of working in a GP Practice.
To be responsible for the delivery of nursing services, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as Long Term Conditions health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention. Childhood and adult immunisations, cervical screening and ECGs.

We are an expanding practice located in an excellent modern purpose built premises in St Albans We are a 2 partner practice with a list size of cira 5,600 patients, our clinical system is EMIS Web.
The practice has a PCN Physiotherapy Service and PCN Clinical Pharmacy team.
A fully established Admin and Secretarial team utilising current electronic and workflow principles.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will provide care for the presenting patients, treatments, chronic disease management and evaluation of care. Experience in cervical cytology and baby immunisations essential.
They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.

- - Previous experience in a primary care setting

- - Additional qualifications in areas such as asthma, diabetes & family

- - Certification in immunisation and vaccination
