Job summary
A great opportunity has arisen to work as a band 6 Community Continence Nurse within Bradford District Care Foundation Trusts Continence Service. We are a well-established team delivering expert care to individuals with bladder and bowel problems across the primary care setting and care homes. We are also responsible for delivering education across the community nursing teams on continence care (bladder/bowel and catheterisation). The mechanism for this delivery is varied and responds to ever changing needs. We pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary approach to patient care and are very proud of the service that we deliver.
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, forward thinking nurse with a passion for improving the delivery of continence care in the Bradford, Airedale, and Craven area.
You will be responsible for undertaking complex continence assessments and providing a structured management plan and auditing outcomes. You will provide support for community staff and service users with line management responsibilities in supporting junior staff within the service. You will have good communication skills and be confident in teaching. You will also have the enthusiasm for service improvement and work collaboratively in achieving continence service objectives.

Main duties of the job
- To work as a senior member of the Continence service
- To provide a high standard of care that is research/evidence based
- To provide support, advice and education on complex bladder and bowel conditions to health and social care professionals, service users, independent organisations and other agencies across the designated health economy
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service
