Are you a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity in a challenging and rewarding environment?

A remarkable opportunity has arisen for a band 6 OT to work at Hillis Lodge.

Hillis Lodge is a 15 bedded male low secure hospital, offering care and treatment to service users from across the West Midlands, who have severe and enduring mental health conditions.

The post holder will work within the established team at Hillis Lodge supporting service users on admission and during their progression on the unit, delivering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, formulation and interventions, whilst using evidence-based practise to assist in developing individualised care plans, promoting independence and enhancing functional abilities whilst developing innovative ways to engage service users with complex needs.

As a senior member of the service, you will represent your profession and act as a role model in a manner that positively reflects the trauma informed care philosophy of the secure service and the wider values of the organization.

You will act as a positive role model for staff and students and behave in a manner that reflects the philosophy of the unit and the values of the organisation as a whole.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be committed to recovery based personalised care, and excited about opportunities to work with EBE in creating co produced interventions and groups that meet the demands of our diverse communities. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and will work collaboratively with service users in a way that reflects our Trust Values by providing committed and high quality care.
