Job summary
This is a great opportunity for staff who have some care experience out side of hospitals to transition and work within a hospital based maternity service. As a maternity support worker you will support and closely work with registered midwives to deliver a high standard of care to women in a caring and safe environment. You will work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining services provided to women and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the ward/clinical area. Maintaining their dignity and privacy of all women and respecting their right to confidentiality is paramount. We will provide training and support to obtain your Care Certificate (nationally recognised) and offer opportunities to work in different settings. Main duties of the job
The successful post holders will be expected to provide support and assistance to professionals in the implementation of care plans for individual patients.
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will ensure patients receive a high quality of clinical care and a good patient experience. We have a management team that is both innovative and proactive in ensuring that high quality care is delivered to our patients.
Care Certificate Programme to be completed over a specified 6 months period, if not obtained prior to commencement.

Job responsibilities
Undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties deliver to deliver agreed plans of care.Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first.
To ensure patients receive high quality clinical care and a good patient experience, havingregard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines.
Recognise and avoid situations that may be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the individuals.
To act as an advocate for patients within the ward / department, to ensure a patient orientated approach to the delivery of care.

Essential
- NVQ 2 in relevant subject or equivalent level of working experience
Knowledge

- Some knowledge and experience of taking clinical observations

- Some knowledge of Manual Handling of patients, using lifting aids
