An exciting opportunity for healthcare support workers to join our team.

Our hospital provides acute care for patients across Somerset, so we are extremely busy. However our teams are supportive and welcoming, we will encourage you to learn and thrive in your new role and we will provide you with all the training required to deliver excellent care.

We also have development opportunities into senior healthcare support worker roles and even offer nursing apprenticeships if you want to become a nurse in the future. The opportunities are there for you.

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate and caring, great at chatting and listening to our patients to provide reassurance at a time when they may be feeling worried. Overall you must have a commitment to the health and wellbeing of the people we care for.

You need to provide a safe environment for all patients attending an outpatient appointment.

As experience and knowledge is gained provide effective and clinical support to the registered nursing staff in a multidisciplinary approach to patient-centered, care and deliver this care including health promotion on a daily basis.

Main duties of the job

Communicating with patients, relatives and other team members in a sensitive and caring manner.

Ensure clinics run in a timely manner.

To work in conjunction with Trust policies and procedures.

Assist the multi-professional team to prepare and support patients undergoing treatment or investigation and chaperone patients during intimate procedures as required.
