Job summary

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Band 6 midwife to work 0.6 WTE on an exciting midwife-led Research for Patient Benefit NIHR funded project: Disparities in Access to the Northwest Ambulance Service during Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum Period and its Association with Neonatal and Maternal Outcomes (DIAAS). The post holder will work closely with the study Principal Investigator Dr Stephanie Heys (Northwest ambulance service), Joint Principal Investigator Professor HoraSoltani (University of Sheffield) and the project team including consultant midwife at Saint Mary's Hospital Dr Kylie Watson. The main role of the post holder will be to support delivery of the study, which includes a retrospective cohort analysis of maternity and neonatal care data and a qualitative content analysis of digital care records. Full training and support will be provided for the midwife undertaking the role and this post provides the successful applicant with an opportunity to work within a dynamic project team, with a focus on supporting capacity building for midwives in undertaking research.
